Heath Dillard is in his fifth year as percussion director for the Frisco High School cluster. His teaching responsibilities include the drumline and percussion ensemble class at Frisco High School, band classes and sectionals for Hunt and Pioneer middle schools, and all beginning percussion classes for Hunt and Pioneer Middle Schools. Under Mr. Dillard’s direction, the Frisco High School percussion program has been very successful, winning its division at the Lone Star Drumline contest in 2009, and placing 3rd in the Plano Drumline contest in 2010. The percussion section also won the best percussion award at the Little Elm marching contest in 2010 and 2011 and the Centennial marching band contest in 2010. Frisco High School percussion students have also been very successful at the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest and the TMEA All-Region Band auditions.
As an arranger, Mr. Dillard has written and arranged percussion scores for many high school bands in Texas, Alabama, and Louisiana. He has over 15 years of writing and arranging experience and is the percussion arranger for the Frisco High School percussion section.
Mr. Dillard is an endorser of Innovative Percussion products and a member of the Percussive Arts Society and the Texas Music Educator Association.
